Men’s Lacrosse : Men’s Lacrosse Picked 11th in Preseason D3 Poll

The Gettysburg College men’s lacrosse team was picked 11th in the Nike/US Lacrosse Magazine Division III Preseason Top 20 it was recently announced.
 
Gettysburg maintained its status as one of the nation’s top teams and was one of three Centennial Conference institutions in the top 20. Franklin & Marshall College was seventh and Ursinus College was 17th. Additionally, Dickinson College received votes.
 
Williams College checked in at the top of the ballot followed by Salisbury University, RIT, Amherst College, and Tufts University.
 
Gettysburg will square off with seven teams ranked among the preseason top 20 this season, including No. 2 Salisbury (Feb. 22), No. 5 Tufts (March 17), No. 7 Franklin & Marshall (March 25), No. 9 York College (March 4), No. 14 Stevenson University (Feb. 29), No. 17 Ursinus (March 21), and No. 18 Washington and Lee (March 11).
 
The Bullets ranked among the top 10 for most of the 2019 campaign before closing out the final poll in 13th. Gettysburg went 14-5 overall and 7-1 in the Centennial Conference a year ago. The team finished runner-up in the conference and advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the 26th time.
 
Gettysburg opens the 2020 campaign at home against Messiah College on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 1 p.m.
