Men’s Lacrosse Tagged Seventh in USILA Poll

de>LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Gettysburg College men’s lacrosse team remained seventh in the country for the third consecutive week in the NCAA Division III Coaches’ Poll released by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) on Monday, April 26.

 

Gettysburg (4-0) and top-ranked RIT (7-0) were the lone teams to hold their positions among the top eight. The Bullets totaled 279 points to finish just three points behind No. 6 York (Pa.) College (11-1), which dropped three spots.

 

RIT saw its grip on the top spot loosen slightly as the Tigers drew 11 first-place votes and 389 total points. Tufts University (5-0) gained ground on the top spot, sliding in front of Salisbury University (10-1) for the No. 2 position and tallying eight first-place votes and 377 points. Salisbury dropped to third with 371 points. Lynchburg University (13-2) and Cabrini University (8-2) each moved up one spot into fourth and fifth, respectively.

 

The Centennial Conference features three nationally-ranked teams with Franklin & Marshall College (5-0) and Ursinus College (2-2) sitting 12th and 15th, respectively.

 

The Bullets close the regular season against the Diplomats in Lancaster, Pa., this Saturday, May 1, at 3 p.m.
