LANCASTER, Pa. – Gettysburg College men’s tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision at Franklin & Marshall College in the season finale on Saturday.
 
Singles competition
1. Sam Bellersen (FMCM) def. Alex Kagan (GCM) 6-0, 5-7, 10-3
2. Adrian Charchalis (FMCM) def. Michael Zayneh (GCM) 6-2, 6-0
3. Justin Pace (FMCM) def. Patrick Bodovitz (GCM) 6-0, 6-0
4. Adith Chandavarkar (FMCM) def. Alec Shalk (GCM) 6-0, 6-0
5. Tristan Steffe (FMCM) def. Matt Rau (GCM) 6-1, 6-2

Doubles competition

Match Recap
The Diplomats (6-1) swept through doubles competition. Gettysburg’s (2-5) freshman duo of Michael Zayneh (Hilton Head Islands, S.C./Heritage Academy) and Alex Kagan (Guilford, Conn./Guilford) posted two points in the 8-2 loss to Sam Bellersen and Adrian Charchalis at No. 1.
 
F&M posted a pair of straight-sets and claimed two tiebreakers in singles play. Kagan and junior Max Levy (Orinda, Calif./Miramonte) both went into tiebreakers at No. 1 and No. 6, respectively. Kegan bounced back from an opening-set loss to win the second frame 7-5 and was topped 10-3 in the third. Levy captured the first frame 6-4 and then fell in back-to-back 6-3, 10-7.
 
Where the Series Stands Now
Franklin & Marshall has won the last 11 meetings against Gettysburg and leads the all-time series 94-13-1.
