Men’s XC Maintains Regional Rankings

NEW ORLEANS – The Gettysburg College men’s cross country team has maintained its place in the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional poll, as released on Tuesday by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

 

For the third week in a row, the men’s team has been ranked seventh. The Bullets did not compete last weekend but placed 15th among 33 teams at the Mike woods Invited hosted by SUNY Geneseo on Oct. 2.  

 

The Centennial Conference certainly made its mark in the regional rankings once again this week as five other institutions join Gettysburg. For the sixth consecutive week, Johns Hopkins University holds the top spot in the Mid-Atlantic region, with Dickinson College at No. 3. Haverford College holds the top spot for the sixth week in a row in the Metro Region followed, by Ursinus College (No. 6) and Swarthmore College (No. 7).

Gettysburg hosts the newly named Aubrey Shenk Invite this Saturday, with the men’s race starting at 10:30 a.m. and the women to follow at 11:30 a.m.
