Mobile Home Fire Displaces Seven

At approximately 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 26, Gettysburg Fire Department was dispatched to a mobile home fire in the Castle Hill Mobile Home Park off Old Harrisburg Road in Straban Township, Pennsylvania.

The fire resulted in significant damage, with the primary mobile home likely a total loss. Moderate damage was also reported to some surrounding residences. Fortunately, no injuries were sustained by occupants, bystanders, or first responders.

Seven residents of the affected mobile home have been displaced and are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.

The Gettysburg Fire Department received support from nine mutual aid fire departments and two EMS agencies. In total, over 50 firefighters and emergency responders were on the scene, with 22 units actively involved in the response effort.

The cause of the fire remains undetermined at this time and is under investigation.

Gettysburg Fire Department extends its gratitude to our mutual aid partners and EMS agencies for their quick response and collaboration, as well as to the community for their continued support.
