Moss Earns Second Weekly Award

Talia Moss was named the Centennial Conference Athlete of the Week in women’s swimming.

– Freshman Talia Moss (Toronto, Ontario/Lawrence Park Collegiate Institute) was named the Centennial Conference Women’s Swimming Athlete of the Week for the second time this season it was announced on Tuesday, Jan. 14.
 
Moss accounted for three individual wins and a relay victory in Gettysburg’s 204-58 win over Catholic University last Saturday. She swept both breaststroke events, posting a time of 1:08.69 in the 100 and going 2:29.50 in the 200. The first-year swimmer completed her individual hat trick by overcoming an early deficit to win the 200 IM in 2:16.64. At the beginning of the meet, Moss swam the breaststroke portion of the 200 medley relay which finished in 1:52.34.
 
Moss has won a total of nine individual events this season and she has already cracked the top 10 in program history in the 100 breast (1:07.87). She was named the CC Swimmer of the Week for the first time this season on Oct. 28.
 
Gettysburg (7-0, 4-0 CC) looks to remain unbeaten when it visits the University of Mary Washington (6-2, 3-0 CAC) for a non-conference dual on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 1 p.m.
