Music, Gettysburg! is presenting two outdoor concerts this summer in Schmucker Grove at the corner of Springs Avenue and Seminary Ridge on the United Lutheran Seminary’s Gettysburg campus.
On Sunday, July 12 at 6 PM, “Dearest Home” will begin performing traditional Appalachian music as well as authentic Civil War Era Music, including Abolitionist songs that advocated for justice and equal treatment of all persons.

On Sunday, August 23 at 6 PM, “Cormorant’s Fancy” will bring Celtic songs and dances to life.
The concerts are free and open to the public. Attendants are asked to bring their own chairs or blankets, and to observe appropriate social distancing and other pandemic-related precautions.
While the Seminary has given permission for these outdoor events, the buildings on the campus remain closed, so restroom facilities will not be available.
Since the chapel is not available as an alternate location, the event could be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.
The other announced Music, Gettysburg! concerts this summer have been cancelled. Further information on fall concerts will be posted soon. The Gettysburg Brass Band Festival, a local music partner, has also posted a virtual festival, including performances by the bands who would have played at the 2020 festival and are already booked for 2021. The festival can be seen at https://www.gettysburgbrassbandfestival.com/.
