Thousands of runners are now monitoring the weather closely as Monday’s 128th running of the Boston Marathon approaches.
According to the Boston Globe, the Skies will be mostly clear by noon, and the sun will dry up any Sunday night puddles along the race route from Hopkinton into Newton. Temperatures will be around 60 degrees while maintaining that helpful tailwind to the runners’ backs.
Roughly 30,000 athletes from more than 100 countries will compete in the race, in which runs must meet a strict qualifying standard based on age and performance of others attempting to quality in their respective age group.
