Thursday, Oct. 1

  • MLB Wild Card Series — potential Game 3s, if necessary: Philadelphia at Atlanta, 2 p.m. (NBC); Chicago White Sox at Houston, 5 p.m. (Peacock); Boston at the New York Yankees, 8 p.m. (NBC); and Chicago Cubs at San Diego, 10 p.m. (Peacock). These games will be played only if a series is tied after its first two games. MLB postseason schedule.
  • NFL: Pittsburgh visits Cleveland at 8:15 p.m. on Prime Video. NFL Week 4 schedule.

Friday, Oct. 2

  • College football: Pitt visits Virginia Tech at 7 p.m. on ESPN; Penn State visits Northwestern at 8 p.m. on FOX. NCAA football schedule.

Saturday, Oct. 3

  • College football: No. 5 Ohio State visits No. 14 Iowa at 3:30 p.m. on CBS; No. 4 Miami visits Clemson at 7:30 p.m. on ABC; and Washington visits No. 18 USC at 7:30 p.m. on NBC. The NCAA schedule also lists Alabama at Mississippi State at noon on ABC and Notre Dame at North Carolina at noon on ESPN. Full NCAA schedule.

Sunday, Oct. 4

  • NFL in London: Indianapolis plays Washington at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at 9:30 a.m. on NFL Network.
  • NFL: The Philadelphia Eagles host the Los Angeles Rams at 1 p.m. on FOX. Other featured games include New England at Buffalo at 1 p.m. on CBS, Green Bay at Tampa Bay at 1 p.m. on FOX, Kansas City at Las Vegas at 4:25 p.m. on CBS, and Detroit at Carolina at 8:20 p.m. on NBC.
