The Penn State Extension Master Watershed Stewards are hosting their annual Native Tree and Shrub Sale now through Aug. 28. You can place your order online, and pick-up will be at the Adams County Ag Center on Oct. 4-5. Proceeds benefit watershed projects and educational programs in Adams County.
These trees and shrubs will arrive in one-, two-, or three-gallon pots—larger than the native seedlings distributed free of charge by the Adams County Planting Partnership (ACPP). Of the 18 species available at the Master Watershed Stewards’ sale, only six will also potentially be available at the ACPP’s free distribution this fall (i.e., black chokeberry, elderberry, hornbeam, nannyberry, river birch, and swamp white oak). The ACPP won’t have its species list finalized until the end of August, so it make sense to place your order today if you’re sure you want a seedling in one of these six species!
