New Brass Band Festival Director

The Gettysburg Brass Band Festival Steering Committee is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Steven Marx as its new president. Founder and President Emeritus Ben Jones says “Steve displayed exceptional organizational skills this past season as he assumed the role of building a schedule, issuing contracts, and communicating with performing bands. He has gained the respect of local musicians as conductor of the Gettysburg College Symphonic Band that includes both college students and community members. Steve is also an in-demand trumpet player with numerous international connections. His enthusiasm and leadership skill are a perfect fit for the future of the Gettysburg Brass Band Festival.”
