The New Oxford Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the 65th Annual Market on the Square will be held on Saturday, August 14 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Previously known as the Antique Market & Craft Show, the Chamber is excited to share the event’s official new name: Market on the Square. This beloved local event has gone through multiple name changes over its 65 years of existence, and the Chamber is excited to continue this annual tradition by preserving the core focus of the event while introducing some new features. While antique dealers, artisans, crafters and food vendors will continue to be the focal point of Market on the Square, the event organizers are excited to expand the event’s offerings in 2021. Anticipated event additions include a mini farmers’ market, local entrepreneurs and additional vendors specializing in vintage items, collectibles, repurposed furniture and more.
Market on the Square is one of the longest running street shows in the country drawing a large crowd annually. Market on the Square will return to its traditional date of the third Saturday in June in 2022. This year’s date change is due to a number of factors, including safety, planning and feasibility. Market on the Square will be held in accordance with safety guidelines set forth by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Vendor applications are currently available for the following categories: antiques, vintage, collectibles, repurposed furniture, handmade crafts and art and food/food trucks.
