The New Oxford Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the winners of the New
Oxford Harvest Hunt, which wrapped up on Sunday, October 25 (added as a bonus day for the event).
The winners of both the decorating contest and the scavenger hunt were shared by the Chamber via Facebook Live on Tuesday, October 27.
For the decorating contest, 14 businesses around New Oxford decorated their businesses for fall. The
decorating contest winners were selected by members of the community. The following businesses received the most votes: Lyle R Pitner State Farm (first place), Bibi’s Creativities (second place) and Aero Energy (third place).
The three winners of the scavenger hunt were drawn from the entries received throughout the event. The Chamber would like to congratulate the following community members for winning the scavenger hunt: Carol Wassilewski (first place), Mason Miller (second place) and Dean Sprague (third place). Scavenger hunt prizes include a “Taste of New Oxford” basket, a family fun basket and a “foodie” basket. The prizes were valued at approximately $500 collectively.
Based on the positive feedback received about the event, the Chamber has announced that a similar event will be held in December. The event will be known as New Oxford Holiday Hunt. Planning for Holiday Hunt is currently underway. Additional details will be available at newoxford.org and on the Chamber’s Facebook page in November.
The Chamber would like to thank the following sponsors for making New Oxford Harvest Hunt possible: the New Oxford Social & Athletic Club, Aero Energy, HD Entertainment, Jarvis Landscaping and Lyle R Pitner State Farm.
