Thanks to all who attended our Annual Meeting on March 12. We were thrilled to see so many smiling faces in our freshly painted, face-lifted Arts Education Center. The building project has progressed a great deal. We are happy to be a gathering place for our community offering many opportunities to visit.
Thanks to the generosity of the Adams County Commissioners, J. William Warehime Foundation, Robert C. Hoffman Charitable Endowment Trust, Sharon Magraw, and Main Street Gettysburg, the façade portion of the repairs are complete. We have some items left to address, and for that, we continue to seek support from our community.
Work remaining includes replacing flooring that was damaged by water, addressing roof repairs at the back of the building, completing exterior painting, and replacing lighting with more efficient fixtures that will also highlight the art we show even more beautifully. Throughout March, any donations you make to the Arts Council through the Partnership for Better Health’s Match Madness campaign are eligible for matching dollars – please consider a donation, and make sure to make it at this web address: https://forbetterhealthpa.org/what-we-do/match-madness/ so your gift has the greatest impact. Click the “donate” button and select “Adams County Arts Council” on the drop-down menu.
