The Gettysburg Christmas Festival 2019 has a Naming Partner
The Gettysburg Christmas Festival has announced that the Gettysburg Heritage Center, in partnership with the Gettysburg Nature Alliance, New Leaf Paper, and FutureStake Inc., is the naming sponsor for the 2019 event.
The Gettysburg Heritage Center “A Gettysburg Christmas Festival,” presented by Main Street Gettysburg with support from the Gettysburg Nature Alliance, New Leaf Paper and FutureStake Inc., will take place Dec. 6-8, 2019.
The festival will expand to three days and will include a parade, holiday movies, music, entertainment, arts and crafts, food and drink, winter fun, Santa Claus experiences, children’s activities, contests, family fun, specialty merchandise, and more.
Adams County Updates its Computers
With the approval of the County Commissioners, the county will be replacing about 300 virtual desktops with traditional desktops. Future IT strategy will include both on-premises and cloud hosted solutions. The cloud-hosted solutions will improve security efforts to protect sensitive information.
It’s Bike to Work Week!
May 12-18 is Bike-to-Work-Week, encouraging people to reduce traffic and air pollution while getting some exercise traveling to and from work.

100 Nights of Taps Again this Summer
For the third year, the sounds of “taps” will be played each evening at 7 p.m. from Memorial Day, May 27, through Labor Day, Sept. 2 at the Soldiers’ National Monument in the Gettysburg National Cemetery.
Buglers are coming from more than 15 states throughout the nation.
