Agnes M. Stavely, 96, of Littlestown, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at home. She was the loving wife of the late Louis Grant Stavely, Sr., who passed away May 16, 2014.
Born November 15, 1928, in Altoona, PA, she was the daughter of the late John Laverne and Agnes Catherine (Monahan) Kensinger.
Mrs. Stavely was a homemaker and worked at Citizens Bank, Hyattsville, M,D prior to getting married. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Littlestown, enjoyed Bridge, crossword puzzles, crocheting, and knitting.
She is survived by her children, Catherine Stavely, Annapolis, MD, Louis G, Stavely, Jr. (Betty), Ijamsville, MD, Susan Bannigan (Michael), Littlestown, Geraldine Daniels (Bob), Ormond Beach, FL, Brian Stavely (Kim), Millsboro, DE, Gregory Stavely, Burtonsville, MD, Agnes Burke (Eddie), Centreville, MD, Bernadette Renfro (Ed), Potomac, MD, Joseph Stavely (Shelley), Boyds, MD, Steven Stavely (Jennifer), St. Leonard, MD, David Stavely (Rhonda), Huntingtown, MD, Michael Stavely (Anne), Naples, FL and Ellen Karavangelos, Olney, MD; brother, James Leroy Kensinger (Frances), Westminster, MD; 39 Grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren and a great, great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her brother, John Laverne Kensinger, Jr., sisters, Mary Ellen Papa and Jessie Fern Brown, son-in-law, Lance Karavangelos, daughter-in-law, Paddie Stavely and grandson, Kevin Stavely.
A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 beginning at 11 AM at Little’s Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 34 Maple Ave., Littlestown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 PM on Tuesday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 29 South Queen St., Littlestown with Rev. C. Anthony Miller, Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery, Littlestown. Her sons will serve as pallbearers.
