Aida D. Mondejar, 103 of Gettysburg, PA, peacefully passed away at her home with her beloved family by her side on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. Aida was born in the Philippines on October 20, 1921, daughter of the late Ildeponso & Maria (Rodriguez) Doronila. She was predeceased by her husband, Pedro S. Mondejar, who died in 1972. Aida leaves behind her four children, Magdalenia D. Mondejar of Gettysburg, PA, Jess D. Mondejar of Henderson, NV, Pedro D. Mondejar, Jr. of Charlotte, MI, and Victoria D. Garcia of the Philippines, eleven grandchildren, a sister, Desporia Brown of the Philippines, and her honorary son, Salvador “Chabo” Madrital Garcia. She was predeceased by a son, Ricardo Mondejar. Aida was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Gettysburg. She enjoyed being a homemaker for her family, tending to her cooking, cleaning, and household responsibilities. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 25 West High Street, Gettysburg. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 29th, from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, with a reciting of the rosary at 8:00 PM.
