Al enjoyed hunting, fishing, and loved going to Beech Ridge Motor Speedway. Al was a volunteer Fire Police for Fairfield Fire Co. He always loved his lobster, but once he moved to Pennsylvania, he would rather eat blue crabs with lots of Old Bay seasoning. Al was always happy to go flying when asked; he was sorry that he was never able to complete his pilot’s license. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Gettysburg, where he enjoyed providing daycare during church service.

In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by his son, Brian May; sister, Patricia Westcott; and brother, Paul May.

Al is survived by Vicky May: daughter Tina Pike (Daniel), son Timothy May, sister Dolly Westcott, and nieces Lori and Erica May. And his four grandchildren, Cameron Greer, Brian Greer, Zachary May and Eli May. He also loved his cats, Mr. Snickers, Sugar, Ryder, Sassy, Callie, Peanut, and Shorty.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 10 am at Evergreen Cemetery, 725 Baltimore St., Gettysburg, with Pastor Carl Harris officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the Adams County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
