Alice Faye Staley, 87 of Gettysburg, PA, passed away on Monday, February 02, 2026, at Transitions Healthcare in Gettysburg, PA. Born September 17, 1938, in Chambersburg, PA, she was the youngest daughter of the late Ralph K. & Bertha Mae (McClure) Reasner. Alice was predeceased by her husband, George E. Staley, who died in 2018, her infant son David, and seventeen siblings.
She was a member of the auxiliaries of VFW Post #15 and American Legion Post #202 in Gettysburg. Alice had been employed by the former Gettysburg Shoe Factory for many years. In her retirement years, she enjoyed watching and spoiling her grandchildren and could be found most mornings at Ernie’s Texas Lunch.
Alice is survived by her daughter, Sue Spangler, and her husband, Michael L. Spangler, Sr. of Gettysburg, two grandchildren, Michael L. Spangler, Jr. and Allison Hauryski and her husband Alex and numerous nieces and nephews.
