nne Lawrence Black, 76 formerly of Hanover, PA passed away at York South Skilled Nursing Center on Monday, June 24, 2024 after a long illness. Born September 30, 1947 in Hanover, PA she was the daughter of the late Paul Edgar & Lorraine (Gouker) Lawrence. Anne was a 1965 graduate of Delone Catholic High School and was a graduate of Thompsonâs Business School in York, PA. She worked in retail sales in the Hanover Area for many years. Anne was a member of the Hanover Historical Society, an avid reader, loved to sew, making crafts and was very involved in planning her high school reunions. Anne was an animal lover, especially her cat MJ and always was donating to the local SPCA fund raisers. Survivors include her three children, Amy Reever (Joe), James âJimâ Black and Beth Jones (Barry), seven grandchildren, Madison, Lorraine, Erika, Lilliana, Shayne, Nicole and Katreena, two great grandsons, Beau and Griffin, a sister, Judy Weaver (Dave) and her niece, Jessica. Anne was predeceased by her brother, Terry Lawrence. Funeral Services will be private per Anneâs request. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Adams County SPCA of the Hanover Historical Society.
