Arthur Re, 87 of Orrtanna, PA passed away at Paramount Senior Living Center on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. Born September 13, 1937 in Norwalk, CT, he was the son of the late Victor Anna (Fasano) Re. Arthur is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Marie Bowling Re. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired after serving 24 years as an equipment operator with PennDOT. Arthur enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting and riding his Harley-Davidson Motorcycles. In addition to his wife, Arthur is survived by two children, Jeanette Re Kayhoe of Orrtanna, and Kirk Re (Dawn) of Biglerville, PA, six grandchildren, Desirae Bywaters (Rusty), Alexandra Ciamaichelo (Christopher), Seth Re (Kayla), Dalton Re (Vicky Plank), Jaden Re and Connor Kayhoe, three great-grandchildren, Bryson Bywaters, Gianni Ciamaichelo and Kade Re and two brothers, Victor Re of Gettysburg, PA and Vincent Re (Katrina) of Orrtanna. He was predeceased by a son-in-law, Robert E. “Bobby” Kayhoe, Jr. who died in 2022. A Viewing will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg. Graveside Services and interment with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 10, 2025 at St. Ignatius Catholic Cemetery, 1095 Church Road, Orrtanna, PA with Msgr.
