Audrey Marie Yingling Ridinger, 84, of Biglerville, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on Monday, September 29, 2025. She was born June 14, 1941, to the late Mary Thelma Clutz Yingling and Daniel Yingling. She was married to Ervin “Jim” Ridinger for 65 years. She was a lifelong resident of Adams County, living in Gettysburg and then moving to Biglerville in 1974 when Jim and Audrey bought their farm. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Nanny, Aunt, Cousin, Friend, pet lover, and Woman of Faith.
She is survived by daughters: Robin (Jack) Thompson of Pulaski, PA, Dawn Snyder of Elizabethville, and Laurie (Tim) Grubbs of Biglerville. Grandchildren: Jimmy Thompson, Mike (Arastasia) Thompson, and Jaclyn Thompson. Cody Snyder, Chase (Brooke) Snyder. Kyle (Jessica) Grubbs, Dillon Grubbs, and Dustin (Natalie) Grubbs. Brother Donnie (Linda) Yingling of Gettysburg, and sister Donna (Leon) Bucher of Peru, ME, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Brother Daniel “Bud” Yingling, and granddaughter Shayna Lee Grubbs.

Audrey was a very active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Harney, MD, and later Trinity Lutheran Church in Arendtsville, PA. She served as Sunday School teacher, Bible School teacher, Church Council member, What’s Cooking for Youth Leader, Altar Guild, and helped with numerous other committees. She was also a 4-H Leader, member of Adams County Home Makers, Adams County Extension Board Member, and Butler Township Judge of Elections.
She was a dairy farmer up until 1994 and was a beautician for almost 60 years.
It was rare to find Audrey without yarn and knitting needles or a crochet hook in her hands. She always had beautiful handmade afghans, sweaters, booties, or a blanket to give as a gift to family, friends, babies, and even pets. She enjoyed making crafts, canning, quilting, sewing, and especially cooking and baking. She loved God, her Family, her Church, her Friends, her cats, and all things purple!
Audrey had pen pals all over the Country and even in Australia. She loved sending and receiving letters and brought joy to so many with her handmade cards with handwritten notes that she sent to anyone who was ill, grieving, away from home in College or the Military, or who just needed cheering up.
She was such a blessing to all who knew her!
