Barbara Ann (Fiscel) Herring (82), a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was surrounded by the love and comfort of her family when she entered into Eternal Peace on Sunday, June 29th, at York Hospital.
Born March 25, 1943, in Gettysburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul A. Fiscel and the late Stella K. (Rickard) Fiscel.
She was a 1961 graduate of Gettysburg High School, where she played Flute and Piccolo in the junior and Sr. High school bands and sang in the Sr. High chorus.
After serving 22 years, she took early Federal retirement from the Farmers Administration in Gettysburg in 1994 to care for her Mother and Father.
Also, she had a deep love for domestic and wild animals, as well as working in her flower beds and the vegetable garden that her parents shared with her family and neighbors. Most of all, she enjoyed the love and time spent with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Ronald, her children, Randall (Judy) and Deann (Eric), her grandchildren, Brian (Kristen), Thomas (Marissa), Matthew (Mariah) Lehman, and Allison and Lauren Herring, and her great-grandchild, Levi Lehman.
A Memorial service will take place on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 1:00 PM from Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from Noon until the time of the service. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery following the service.
