Barbara Lynn Sanders, 63, of Fairfield, Pennsylvania, passed away on May 24, 2026, at her home surrounded by the love of her family after courageously battling cancer.
Born on April 27, 1963, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Barbara was the beloved daughter of Robert Eugene Sites.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 37 years, Robert Sanders Jr.; her daughters, Whitney Sanders of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and Kacey Sanders Arnold and husband, Hunter Arnold and grandson, Brady Arnold, of Virginia; her sister, Brenda Flenner and significant other, Gary Stouter, of Emmitsburg, Maryland; her nephew, Derek Flenner and wife, Rebecca Flenner, of Fairfield, Pennsylvania; and her two great-nephews, Wyatt and Walker Flenner.
Barb was a dedicated employee of WellSpan Health for 37 years. She will be remembered for her warmth, unwavering love for her family, and the joy she found in gardening and tending to her plants.
A Funeral Mass celebrating Barbara’s life will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Fairfield, Pennsylvania, with a reception to follow. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the start of Mass on Thursday morning at the church. A private burial will be held the following day.
