Born November 4, 1958 in Stanton, VA he was the son of the late Robert and Nancy (Shull) Hall. He was the husband of Priscilla (Warner) Brown, of Fairfield to whom he was married to for 41 years.
Mr. Brown was a Veteran of the United States Army. He worked for the SGI Grit Mill in Green stone as well as the former Quebecor Company in Fairfield. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching his grandkids play sports and decorating for Christmas.
In addition to his wife, Barry is survived by his daughter, Mary Hanvey and her husband Mike, of Fairfield, PA, his son, Chris Wimer and his wife Becca, of North Carolina, his eight grandchildren, Kiley Hanvey, Dylan Hanvey, Brendan Shifflett, Leland Brown, Saphira Brown, Preston Lambeth, Ayden Wimer and Corbin Wimer, his sister, Penny Brown, of Virginia, and Scottie Craig, of Blue Ridge Summit. He was preceded in death by his son, Barry Brown Jr who died in 2016 and his twin brother, Larry Brown.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, December 15, 2023 at the Monahan Funeral Home, 27 E. Main St., Fairfield, PA. Burial with full Military honors will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Thursday evening at the funeral home.
