Barry L. Harner, 78, of Fairfield, PA, died at his home Thursday morning, June 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born February 2, 1947, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Warren and Viola (Berwager) Harner. He was the husband of Elaine (Stahl) Harner, of Fairfield, to whom he was married for 40 years.
Mr. Harner was a Veteran of the United States Army with the 25th Infantry Division, serving as a staff sergeant during the Vietnam War. He worked for a number of years as a local auctioneer, along with several years at the Lowell Women’s Correctional Facility in Ocala, FL. He attended photography school in Philadelphia and enjoyed his hobby of photography. He was a member of the Blue Ridge Summit Sportsman’s Club and the Waynesboro American Legion.
In addition to his wife, Barry is survived by his son, Chad Harner and his wife Jamie Harner, of Fairfield, his daughter, Sunni Lindenmuth, and his four grandchildren, Derrick Harner, Madison (Harner) Bonzelet, Alexis Mollitor, and Josh Mollitor. He was preceded in death by his son, Kristian Mark, and his sister, Eleanor Snyder.
There will be a private interment at Ft Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. The Monahan Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements, and online condolences may be made at monahanfuneralhome.com.
