Bernard L. Wiles, 93, Littlestown, PA, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born March 6, 1932, in Frederick, MD, the son of the late Charles Isaac and Gladys Beachly Wiles, Sr. Bernard was predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Louise Ropp Wiles, and a companion of 23 years, Alice Boyer.

Bernard was a 1951 graduate of Frederick High School, where he was part of the track and soccer teams. He was a lifelong dairy farmer in the Frederick County and Adams County areas. He started out with the Capital Milk Association and later with the Maryland–Virginia Milk Association. He was a former member of Mount Joy Lutheran Church. Mr. Wiles was a member of the National Young Farmers’ Education Association, the PA Grange, the Frederick Moose, the Frederick Eagles, and the Isaac Walton Preservation League of Clarksburg, MD. He enjoyed watching basketball and baseball.
Mr. Wiles is survived by six children; Dianna Shorb, Brenda Braucher and her husband Daniel, Beth Wiles and her fiancé Wayne, Bernard Wiles, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth, Graham Wiles and his wife Tracy and Jody Wiles and his wife Laura, 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and a sister, Charlotte Wiles Tyeryar. Two brothers predeceased him: Charles I. Wiles, Jr., Earl Wiles, and a sister, Joyce Cramer.
A Graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick, MD, at 1:00 PM. There will be a viewing at Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA, on Monday, June 2, 2025, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Mt.
