Obituary: Brenda Wagner-McNabb



Brenda (Martin) Wagner-McNabb, 55, of Gettysburg, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, March 13,2024 surrounded by her loving family.

Born December 26,1968 in Gettysburg, PA. She Was the beloved daughter of Donald and Barbara (Plank) Martin of Gettysburg, PA. Brenda was the loving wife of Greg McNabb. Together they shared many grand adventures and traveled down many bunny trails. She was preceded in death by her first husband, David Wagner.

Brenda was a 1987 graduate of Gettysburg High School. She grew up working with her parents and sister at Martin’s Farm Dairy, and later at Martin’s Meats and Bakery. To fulfill her desire to love and care for the elderly and terminally ill, she attended nursing school in her 40’s, graduating from Harrisburg Area Community College. Brenda’s joy was caring for the sick at SpiriTrust Lutheran Home Care & Hospice.

In addition to her beloved husband and parents, Brenda is survived by her two children, Ridge Wagner and Brooke Fairbanks, both of Gettysburg, PA, and two stepchildren, Ryan McNabb of Sidney, OH and Shannon Rose of Williamsport, MD. Three grandchildren, Callie and Colby Wagner and Zaylee Fairbanks. Four step-grandchildren, Rylee, Addalynn, Hunter and Ivy McNabb. Her sister Lisa McFadden, and her husband Bill of Orrtanna, PA. Brenda was a special friend to Dylin Shower and considered him a son. She was dearly loved by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Her beautiful smile, contagious laughter and amazing sense of humor will be greatly missed by her large extended family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 12:00 noon at the Gettysburg Church of the Brethren with Reverand Patricia Arendt officiating.
