She was born December 22, 1927 in Frederick, MD the daughter of the late Dr. William R. Cadle and Carolyn Edwards Cadle of Emmitsburg, MD.
Carolyn was a 1945 graduate of the University of Maryland School of Nursing. Upon graduation, she married William Boyer Lower, and was involved in the family business, Boyerâs Nursery and Orchards, in Biglerville. Carolyn was responsible for management of the garden center operation.
She is survived by her husband of 73 years, William Boyer Lower, three children; Carolyn Lower Kavetsky and her husband Robert of Annapolis, MD, William Boyer Lower, Jr. and his wife Mary of Biglerville, PA, David Lower and his wife Betsy of Biglerville, PA, six grandchildren; Anna Kavetsky Simons, William B. Lower, III, Andrew Lower, Emma Lower Fleming, James Lower, John Lower, five great grandchildren; Gracie Hutton, Kathleen Hutton, William Hutton, Mary Fleming, and Virginia Fleming. Carolyn was predeceased by a brother, William R. Cadle, Jr.
