Catherine R. Bigler, of Shippensburg, PA, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on January 3, 1936, in Shippensburg, she lived a life marked by love, resilience, and dedication to her craft. She was the daughter of the late Clyde and Martha (Warren) Rotz. A talented seamstress, Catherine proudly worked in many sewing factories in Shippensburg. After retiring, Catherine babysat many children, which she loved. They brought so much joy to her life.
Catherine is reunited with her husband, Wallace J. Bigler, Sr, one son, Wallace J. Bigler Jr, five brothers, Clyde Rotz, Jr., Donald Rotz, Karl Rotz, Bruce Rotz, and Melvin Rotz, and two sisters, Margaret Hinkle and Edna O’Donnell. She is survived by five children, Sharon Foust, Melvin Bigler, Debra Cullings, Richard Bigler, and Karen Fleming; one sister, Grace Brown; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Professional Services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 51 Asper Drive in Shippensburg. Services will be held privately.
