He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Barbara, of 40 years. Also âhis girlsâ Pam and her husband Kevin Pritz of Herndon, VA and Kristin and her husband Glenn Harvey of Riva, MD. His beloved Granddaughters, Natalie Pritz of Arlington, VA, Allison Pritz of Herndon, VA and Danielle Harvey of Riva, MD, step granddaughter Brittany Harvey of Edgewater Md, also great grandchildren, Mackenzie and William. and one Niece, Lena Underwood of Frederick, MD and several Cousins.
Charlie graduated from Towson High School in Towson, MD. and the University of Baltimore, Baltimore, MD.
Charlie joined Chestnut Ridge Volunteer Fire Company in Owings Mills, MD at the age of 16. He continued his love of the Fire Service with Gettysburg Fire Department when he moved to Gettysburg, PA. He is a life member of each Company. He was a noted Fire Memorabilia collector particularly in the area of antique fire related items. He retired from FL Anderson Company a Fire Department Supply Business in Baltimore as Vice President. After retirement he continued working as a consultant in the area of Fire Department Supplies for Safeware, Inc. Charlie authored two books related to the Baltimore City Fire Department and the FL Anderson Company.
