Christopher E. Rickrode, 17, White Run Lane, Gettysburg, PA, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2025, after a long illness, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on December 28, 2007, in York, PA. Chris is survived by his parents, Francis and Kristine Meyer, a sister, Ashley Earhart and her companion Jack Godinez of New Oxford, PA, two brothers; Jeffrey Meyer and his companion Sherri Riley of Carroll Valley, PA, Francis Meyer and his wife Kim Meyer of Arkansas, and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his aunt Linda Rickrode, his uncle, Kim Rickrode and his grandparents, John and Betty Rickrode.
Chris graduated from Gettysburg High School in 2025. He enjoyed playing his PlayStation 5 and games on his phone. He collected matchbox cars. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family, including his niece, Amaya, and his nephews, Xavier and Eli. He also loved playing with his pet, Tucker, a Yorkie.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 19, 2025, at Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA, at 11:00 AM with Pastor Joe Wells officiating. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Littlestown, PA. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
