Christopher J. Lawrence Krebs, 60, of Orrtanna, PA died Monday morning, December 16, 2024 at his home./pbr/pBorn February 14, 1964, in Baltimore MD, he was the son of Claire C. (Schmidt) Krebs, of Catonsville, MD and the late Richard F. Krebs. He was the husband of Kerry A. (Leahy) Krebs, of Orrtanna, to whom he was married to for 37 years./pbr/pA jack of all trades, Mr. Krebs proudly provided for his family with careers as an iron worker and a truck driver, though he was also a skilled carpenter and mechanic. During different times in his life, Mr. Krebs called Maryland, Missouri and Pennsylvania his home. Whether on the farm, on the road or in his garage Mr. Krebs valued both peace and privacy. He enjoyed the companionship of several Great Dane dogs, most recently his buddy Morgan. His favorite hobbies would involve “tinkering” on his bikes and taking cross country motorcycle rides with friends. But his greatest enjoyment was found during quiet nights with his wife or taking part in goofy shenanigans with his children and grandchildren./pbr/pIn addition to his wife and mother, Chris is survived by his four children, John Laur and his wife Bobbie, of Baltimore, MD, Amanda Flanagan-Hoffman and her husband Ryan Hoffman, preceded in death by husband Ryan Flanagan, of East Berlin, PA, Erich Krebs, of Missouri, Kate Krebs-Schmelyun and her husband Richard, of Mechanicsburg, PA, 11 grandchildren, Charles Laur, Crosby Laur, Frankie Laur, Callie Flanagan, Cole Flanagan, Nolan Hoffman, Maisy Hoffman, Millie Krebs, Max Schmelyun, Amelia Schmelyun, Maverick Schmelyun, his brother, Alan M. Krebs and his wife Jackie, of Missouri, his sister, Michelle Giroux and her husband David, of North Carolina, three nieces, and three nephews./pbr/pFuneral services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, December 20, 2024 at the Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, PA.
