Craig R. Stuart, 53, East Berlin, PA, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at his home.
He was born July 2, 1972, in York, PA, the son of James and Karen Beckstrom Stuart of York, PA. Craig is survived by his wife of 24 years, Carrie Sheely Stuart.
Craig was a graduate of Central York High School and later the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. For the last 26 years, he was employed by Packaging Corporation of America, formerly Tim-Bar Corp, most recently as Controller. He was very involved in Youth Soccer, serving as a Board Member, Coach for over 10 years, and Referee for his children’s league. An avid hunter, Craig loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, boating, and cheering on his favorite sports teams. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Craig is survived by four children: Carter, Cole, Chloe, and Carley, all at home; his twin sister, Suzanne Hetten, her husband Joseph of North Catasauqua, PA; a brother, Eric Stuart, and his wife Kimberly of Mt. Lebanon, PA, as well as several nephews and a niece.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 11:30 AM from Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Monday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Heart Association.
