. Juene (Alban) McGlaughlin, 94 of Gettysburg, PA passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024 at the Gettysburg Hospital. Born in Hanover, PA on June 1, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Franklin & Sylvia (Markle) Alban. Juene was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Edward âTomâ McGlaughlin, who died in 2009. She was a graduate of Hanover High School and worked for 10 years as a bookkeeper for Thomanâs Paint Store in Hanover, prior to having children. Throughout her marriage she continued to manage the bookkeeping duties for her late husbandâs business dealings. Juene was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Gettysburg, Gettysburg Hospital Auxiliary and the Gettysburg Hospital Bridge Club as well as a small â500â card club that ran for over fifty years. She enjoyed dining out, playing cards and dominoes, and golfing with her friends and family into her nineties. Her long-time friends were also a source of much happiness throughout her life. Juene is survived by her two children, Gail Ludin (Doug) of Malvern, PA and Thomas McGlaughlin (Jamie) of Elizabethtown, PA, three grandchildren, Erica Ludin, Derek McGlaughlin and Alek McGlaughlin. She was predeceased by a brother, Floyd Alban. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Trinity United Church of Christ, 60 East High St., Gettysburg, PA 17325 with Rev. Fred Young, officiating. Interment will follow the services in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg. The family will receive friends at the church on June 20th from 1:00-2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ.
