Danuel L. Smith, 47, of Gettysburg, PA, died Friday, October 10, 2025, at his home.
Born October 9, 1978, Danuel was the husband of Amy M. (Ritchie) Smith, to whom he was married for 22 years.
Danuel was a 1997 graduate of Gettysburg Area High School and a 2018 graduate of HACC for Graphic Design. He was an active member of the Gettysburg Fire Department. He was a Veteran of the US Army Reserves, being honorably discharged in 2004. Dan held many different roles through life, including working as a CNA, bookmaker, Uber driver, cement mixer driver, abraxas behavior counselor, auto mechanic, retail and food service management, construction flagger, and law clerk, just to name a few. He was always learning new things and enjoyed many hobbies.
In addition to his wife, Danuel is survived by his three children, Alexys Socks, Danuel Smith, II, Kayla Smith, his father Randy Brent and his friend Roxanne, his brothers and sisters, Samuel, Manuel, David, Stephanie, Gregor, Randy Brent Jr., Jessica Bitner, Cody Brent, Adam Stonesifer, Ben Stonesifer, Rachel, numerous aunt and uncles, and his best friend and dog Buddy.
A memorial service will be held, 11:30 AM, Friday, October 17, 2025, at the Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, PA. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until the time of the services on Friday morning. Online condolences may be made at monahanfuneralhome.com.
