
Born on Thursday, January 18, 1951 in Baltimore, Maryland, He was the son of James âBudâ and Grace Chapman DeOms. After graduating high school, he had an interest in law enforcement and attended Essex Community College while teaching Driver’s Education. He then pursued a career in CAD at Bechtal. Following company layoffs, he founded Cannon Cleaning, Inc. in 1994 where he worked until 2023 when his physical condition declined.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by three daughters: Jamie Faith (Joshua) Garretson, Katie Joy DeOms, and Kacie Hope (Brian) Spearman and two granddaughters, Riley Garretson and Lily Spearman; His brother: James H. (Ann) DeOms and two nephews, Nathan (Stasi) DeOms and Jesse DeOms.
He loved his daughters deeply and his granddaughters were his pride and joy, always bringing a smile to his face. Dave was an avid golfer and very proud of the two âhole in oneâ shots he made while golfing at local courses. He was well known for wearing shorts despite the weather. Those close to him hold this memory fondly and most can not recall a time they saw him wearing long pants.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 17th, 2024. The service will be held at 11 a.m. at Benders Lutheran Church, 1385 Rentzel Rd. Biglerville, PA 17307, with a luncheon to follow at
