Dennis E. Richwine, 73, of Gardners, PA, began his walk with Jesus on August 18, 2025, as he passed peacefully at home following a 5-year battle against cancer. He was born on November 4, 1951, the son of the late Eugene D. Richwine and Stella (Griffie) Richwine.
Denny was a graduate of Carlisle High School, class of 1969, and a proud veteran of the United States Air Force from 1970 until 1974. He retired from PPG Industries, with 30-plus years of service. Denny’s lifelong passions included hunting and fishing, especially during trips to Tioga County as a past member of Suits Us Hunting Camp.
Denny was a member of American Legion Post 0674, FOE Aerie 1299, and the NRA. He supported the Uriah Community Church.
Surviving is his loving wife of 52 years, Diane (Fennel) Richwine; son, Gregory Richwine of Carlisle; granddaughters, Madison and Ashley Richwine; daughter, Jennifer Steigleman and husband Jeromy of Gardners; grandson, Nolan; and granddaughter, Aryann. He is also survived by his sister, Crystal Hayashida of Cypress, CA, and a large extended family of aunts and cousins. In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his brother, Jason D. Richwine.
A celebration of life will be announced upon completion of plans. Burial will take place in the Uriah Community Church at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Suits Us Hunting Camp, C/O Wade Fickel, 520 Peakview Rd, York Springs, PA 17372. Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs.
