Diane Kay Carlton, age 77 of Shippensburg, passed away June 9, 2025, at WellSpan Health, Chambersburg Hospital. She was born March 4, 1948, in McKeesport, PA, to the late Ernest O. and Flora M. (Mellinger) Wunderley.
Diane was an RN and school nurse for various hospitals and schools in Syracuse, NY, a member of the Cornerstone Church of Christ in Chambersburg, PA, and loved watching Pit Bulls and Paroles and HGTV.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, John E. Carlton, Sr; daughter, Erin Carlton of Woodland Park, CO; son, John E. Carlton, Jr. and wife, Kate of Methuen, MA; grandchildren, Andrew M. Carlton, Owen M. Carlton, Abbey S. Mojica and Ethan S. Mojica; sister, Judy Yorks and brother, Bruce E. Wunderley.
Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg, where a viewing will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Bob Hart will officiate the funeral.
