Diane M. Tarbell, 69, Gettysburg, PA, and Morehead City, NC, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Gettysburg Center following a long illness.
She was born on January 17, 1956, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of the late Ronald M. Tarbell and Patricia Ann Smith Yarock. She is survived by her husband, Arthur William Thies, a brother, Michael A. Tarbell, and his wife, Carey, a nephew, John Tarbell, a niece, Chloe Tarbell, and her aunt, Barbara Martykan. She is predeceased by a brother, John Tarbell.
Diane was a bookkeeper by profession, working in several industries, including banking, retail, and, most recently, for the New York City Musicians’ Union Local 802. Diane was a member of the Littlestown Eagles. She and her husband enjoyed traveling, spending time in North Carolina, and shopping. But most of all, Diane loved to take care of those in need. She was at her happiest when she was helping someone.
A Celebration of Diane’s life will take place at a later date.
