Donald MacCuaig Richardson, II, 78, of Orrtanna, Pennsylvania, died May 23, 2025, at his home.
Born December 22, 1946, in Tokyo, Japan, he was the son of Donald and Patricia (Johnson) Richardson, who were both stationed in Japan with the U.S. Army. Donald served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries incurred in combat. He was a 1971 graduate of the University of California, Riverside. Donald was a CIA executive for 30 years, serving in Nigeria and El Salvador, before retiring in 2002. He enjoyed his retirement years in Buchanan Valley and was a copious reader.
Surviving are his wife J. K. “Bonnie“ (Knoll) Richardson, his daughter, Jennifer K. Richardson of Emmaus, Pennsylvania, his son, Bryan T. Richardson of Centerville, Virginia, his sister Nina R. Bowling of Broomfield, Colorado, and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Grove B.Richardson. Funeral services and interment with military honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on August 26, 2025, at 1:00 PM.
