
She was born in Gettysburg Annie Warner Hospital and grew up in Littlestown, PA.
She was raised by her mother, Catherine (Wisotzkey) Frock and attended schools in Littlestown.
In her early years, along with her mother and older sister, she lived with several of her Wisotzkey relatives (aunts and uncles). Three of her uncles enlisted and went off to fight in World War II. The youngest of her uncles, Richard âDickâ Wisotzkey was killed in Belgium at age 19, which inspired Donnaâs lifelong interest in WW II history.
She was an avid reader, and enjoyed biographies, romance novels, current and social events, WW II history and politics.
Donna was a very hard worker throughout her life, and worked at many of the shoe factories in the Littlestown and Emmitsburg locations. In later years, she worked at Madison Square Furniture Company in Hanover, PA until her retirement. After retirement, she went on to work several more years at Snyder Pretzel Company in Hanover. After her many years of working she was able to enjoy bus trips, concerts, plays, theater and movies. She was active in the local Senior Centers in Adams County, predominately in McSherrystown. She was a member of the local AARP organizations and served as a committee member.
She also loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, at holidays and family picnics.
Donna is survived by her children; Randy Tyler and Merry of Dillsburg, PA, Debra Dick and Len of Gettysburg, PA, Robin Tyler and Chris of Dillsburg, PA, a daughter-in-law, Vickie Tyler, grandchildren; Bryan Tyler, Bo Tyler and Dayle, Chad Dick and Megan, Alicia Malewicki and Greg, Amanda Tyler and Andrew Carl, great grandchildren; Salene Tyler, Anley Dick, Everly Dick, Cashius âCashâ Malewicki, McKenna Carl, Sawyer Malewicki and Elijah âEliâ Dick and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Catherine Wisotzkey Frock, sister, Nancy Bible, brother, Robert Ulrich, son, Kevin Tyler and grandson, Cory Dick.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 2:00 PM from Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg with her daughter, Robin Tyler officiant / celebrant. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
