He was born August 12, 1947 in Gettysburg, PA. He was the son of the late Robert and Doris (Frock) Wenschhof. Edward is survived by his wife, Patricia (Hess) Wenschhof, to whom he was married 58 years.
Ed was a 1965 graduate of Gettysburg Area High School. He did construction and welding work most of his life including 20 years self employed with the help of his son, Mike. For over 30 years he was employed part time as Road Superintendent for Freedom Township until his retirement in 2021. He enjoyed hunting, working outdoors, watching Westerns and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Ed is survived by two sons; Edward R. Wenschhof, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Needmore, PA, Michael Wenschhof and his wife Deanna of Fairfield, PA, six grandchildren; Emily Wenschhof of Needmore, Sara Wenschhof of Fort Littleton, Amber Wagner and her husband Matthew of Orrtanna, Shanna Tinsley and her husband Finn of Bozeman, MT, Rebecca Wenschhof of Needmore, Edward Wenschhof, III of Needmore, three great grandchildren; Owen, Charlotte and Lynneah.
