Obituary: Evelio Perez

Evelio Perez was a caring husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend. He left this world suddenly on May 7, 2024 at age 64. He was born in Havana, Cuba. He met his wife, Debbie, at a young age and they were together for 45 years. They had two children Dana (Peter) and Ziggy (Shantelle). Evelio loved spending time with his kids and grandkids (Allison, Blake, Francisco, Jackson, and William); he was so proud of his family and their accomplishments to include Ziggy’s 20-year career in the Navy and Dana obtaining an MBA. An avid Minnesota Vikings fan, Evelio was a great cook, and enjoyed fishing, golf, dominos, Led Zeplin and caring for the aquatic life in the many fish tanks he owned throughout the years. For many years he performed hard work as a butcher and was still even in retirement cutting steaks for his family. He had a love for dogs, with many stories of his first dog, Chooch and his last love Lacy whom he missed dearly. He was the baby brother who will be missed by his brother J (Jo) and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents (Jesus and Eudosia “Loly”) and brothers (Arturo and Rene).
