Francis E. Wivell, Sr. of Aspers, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, at Mercy House of Chambersburg. Born on August 25, 1942, in Thurmont, Maryland, he was the son of the late James Norbert Wivell, Sr. and Fannie Agnes (Bollinger) Wivell.
Francis worked in construction for the majority of his working career. He was an avid collector of various items. Francis enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets with his late wife, Sharon F. (Kiner) Wivell. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving is one son, Francis Wivell, Jr. and his predeceased wife, Lisa A. Wivell; two grandsons, Brandon M. Luckenbaugh and Kyle S. Luckenbaugh; four great-grandchildren, Bradyn Luckenbaugh, Tanner Luckenbaugh, Kody Luckenbaugh, and Destiny Lawver; three brothers, James H. Wivell, Morris Stanley, and Allen Joseph; and numerous nieces and nephews. Francis was preceded in death by his siblings, Glenn Wivell, Mary Haines, Emma Stambaugh, Frances Wivell, Lucille Roland, and Vincent Wivell.
Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 111 S. Main Street in Bendersville. At this time, services are private and at the discretion of the family.
