‘Francis L. Cool, 85, of Fairfield, PA died Sunday morning, February 9, 2025 at his home.Born December 14, 1939 at his home, he was the son of the late John and Mabel (Warren) Cool. He was the husband of the late Maxine L. (Renfroe) Cool, who died January 1, 2020.Mr. Cool was retired from the United States Air Force, SMSGT after 22 years of service to his country, earning the Meritorious Service Medal and Air Force Commendation Medal. He then went on to work at Westinghouse and Schindler Elevator. He served for a number of years for the Fairfield Borough Council, serving as President for six years, and the Fairfield Municipal Authority for 17 years, the Fairfield Planning Commission for 18 years serving as Vice Chair and Chairman. In addition he was Fairfield Zoning Officer, served on the Pippenfest Committee and various other things that he volunteered for to help the Fairfield Community.Francis is survived by his two children, Mary Pryor and her husband Dwight, Christopher Cool and his wife Jamie, his granddaughter Kenzie Pryor, all of Fairfield, and three siblings, Richard Cool, Charlie Cool, and Jennie Shaffer.A Memorial Service for Francis will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, February 17, 2025 at the Monahan Funeral Home, 27 East Main St., Fairfield, PA. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of the services Monday at the funeral home. Francis will be privately interred with his wife at Ft.
