George E. âGeneâ Harbaugh, 87, of Orrtanna, PA passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at home surrounded by his family.
Born on February 4, 1936 in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son of the late George E. & Martha (Cease) Harbaugh. Gene is survived by his wife of 66 years, Darlene V. (Kroshour) Harbaugh.
Gene owned and operated Adams County Interiors in Biglerville for more than 40 years. He was a member of Flohrâs Lutheran Church and a lifetime member of the Cashtown Fire Department.
In addition to his wife, Gene is survived by his children, Cathy J. Mummert (Todd) and Robert G. Harbaugh both of Gettysburg, his grandchildren, Payton House (Taylor), Taylor Noel (Logan), Adalynn Harbaugh and Nicole Harbaugh; his great-grandson, Jackson House; and his sister, Patricia Pearson (Rob) of Arizona.
He is predeceased by his brother Barry Harbaugh.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Flohrâs Lutheran Church in McKnightstown, PA with the Rev. Dennis Probst officiating. A visitation will precede the service at the church beginning at 10:00 AM where the family will receive friends. Interment will be private.
