Glenn Franklin Guise, age 91, of Gettysburg, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, surrounded by his family at their home in Gettysburg. He was born September 28, 1933, in York Springs, PA, as the son of the late Emory Scott and Edith (Lobaugh) Guise.
Glenn graduated in the Class of 1951 from York Springs High School. Shortly after high school, Glenn married his high school sweetheart, Marie, and together they have created a beautiful life and a marriage of 71 years. He worked at the York Springs Nursery, helping to grow fruit trees/saplings to sell to local fruit farmers/orchards for 20 years. He retired from Bethany Village in Mechanicsburg after working there as a night security maintenance for 22 years. Glenn was a member of York Springs Global Methodist Church. In his spare time, Glenn enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden, watching the Baltimore Orioles, and attending the local horse races.

Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Marie B. (May) Guise; loving daughter, Barbara D. Guise, Gettysburg; three sisters, Ethel Beck of Leola, PA, Lola Klinger of Dillsburg, and Laura Mansberger of Dover, PA; sister-in-law, Janice Guise of Carlisle, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by his six siblings, Ruth Guise, Robert Guise, Mary Heisey, Virginia Murtorff, Esther Yost, and Dale Guise.
Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main St., Bendersville. Private Graveside Services for Glenn will be held at the discretion of the family. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery. Friends may express online condolences at www.DuganFH.com.
