arold E. Kint, 82 of Gettysburg, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Transitions Healthcare. Born October 04, 1941 in Gettysburg, PA he was the son of Glenn & Betty (Kint) Mayer. Harold is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patricia (Durboraw) âPatâ Kint. Harold was a 1959 graduate of Gettysburg High School and served in the Army National Guard from 1960-1968. He had worked at Hoak Tile Co. in Gettysburg for 8 years before purchasing the Biglerville Hardware Store which he owned and operated from 1977-2004. In his retirement years, Harold enjoyed driving a bus for the Upper Adams School District. His hobbies included hunting, bowling, gardening, traveling, watching NASCAR and tending to his flowers. He was a life member of the Biglerville Fire Co., American Legion Post #262 in Biglerville and the Adams County Fish and Game Association. In addition to his wife, Harold is survived by two daughters, Janet Kint Davis of York Springs, PA and Rita Kint Harvey (Joshua) of Meshoppen, PA, two grandchildren, Lynnaya M. Eline (Patrick) and Robert A. Romero, five great grandchildren, Jacob. Kiara and Mia Romero and Kaitlynn and Cedric Eline, a sister, Mary Ann Baugher (Eugene) of New Oxford, PA and two brothers, Curtis Mayer (Shirley) of Hanover, PA and Jim Mayer (Marlene) of Lacy, Washington, a number of nieces and nephews and his beloved cat, Hey Kitty. Harold was predeceased by a great grandson, Little Bobby. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 23, 2023 at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg with the Rev. Stephen Herr, officiating. Interment will follow the services in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday at the funeral home from 9:30-11:00 AM.
