Obituary: Harriet (Welch) Noye



Harriet (Welch) Noye, 85, of Fairfield, PA, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024 at the Suncoast Hospice Care Center in Palm Harbor, FL.

Harriet was born October 31, 1938, in Washington, D.C., to the late H. Mason Welch and Mary (Crawley) Welch.

She is survived by her brother, James Welch (Lee), her daughters, Nicolette Addessi and Erin Clem as well as two granddaughters, Caitlin Clem and Madelin Clem.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Edward Noye, who passed away in 2018.

Harriet was a graduate of Marymount University with a music and arts concentration. She was an accomplished pianist and piano teacher. Other accomplishments of Harriet’s; Women’s Championship golfer to include several “holes-in-one”, Women’s competitive tennis, NCAA Women’s Basketball as a tri-state Champion Point Guard.

Harriet was devoted to Our Blessed Mother and acted as President of the Washington, D.C. Chapter of The Blue Army. She was the recipient and Caretaker of the Rosa Mystica Worldwide Pilgrimage Statue. She promoted the message of importance of Jesus and His Divine Mercy, as well drove membership to the Enthronement to Jesus as the King of the Christian Family and Home. Harriet was also involved with Prison Ministry, Seven Sisters Prayer Group, a Eucharistic Minister and devoted no less than one hour a day to Eucharistic Adoration and recitation of the Holy Rosary daily throughout her life.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024, 11AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 256 Tract Rd., Fairfield, PA. A visitation will precede the Mass at the church beginning at 10AM. Interment will immediately follow the Mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Fairfield, PA.
